Monks Horton Cottages
These two contemporary detached dwellings sit in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which had to appeal to the rental market.
The two four-bed houses use green oak cladding and bespoke glazing systems to define a ‘rural contemporary’ style, which is sensitive to the surrounding agricultural landscape whilst defining a distinctive identity which reflects their sustainable aspirations. Each building has a sustainability code level of 4 and is heated via a ground source heat pump.
These blank canvases allowed us to create an interior scheme that had a sense of unity, and the meticulously selected colour pallets changed between each dwelling allowing them to form their own identity.
