Alex Richards - Practice Partner

Congratulations Alex!

We are delighted to announce that Alex Richards has accepted our offer to become a Partner of the Practice…

Since joining the Practice, apart from being a hobby farmer, Alex (who became an Associate in October 2016) has been successful in winning a range of new work; from small architecturally challenging projects to those of a larger scale.

Alex has proven himself to be a dedicated and extremely competent part of the studio, leading on a number of key projects - including a new Concert Hall/School Hall and music department for Benenden School and an exciting new project for the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.

Alex initially achieved a distinction in Construction at HNC level before furthering his studies at the Universities of Liverpool and Dundee. He graduated top of the year with a first-class honours in Architecture, winning awards for his exemplary work. Following a short period of living in the Lake District, Alex moved to Kent with his young family to pursue his passions for both architecture and recreational farming - Alex is known for delivering a lamb or two before starting a full day’s work!

Alex is a keen sportsman, competing on the national stage for Kayaking, an avid runner, completing the London Marathon and soon to embark with Guy on the ‘Cycle to MIPIM’ - an event that sees them cover 1,500 km over 6 days, taking them from London to Cannes on their bikes fundraising for the children’s charity ‘Coram’.

Alex will continue to work across both GHA offices, with Mike and Matt in Kent and Tim in London.

Alongside Guy, Alex is attending MIPIM and has available appointments. Please get in contact to arrange a meeting
