And They're Off!

Day 2 – Good Morning From France!

Yesterday is in the bag with 133km being successfully covered in windy but otherwise perfect cycling conditions - 1367km to go…!

After a night in Calais it was an early 4.30am start into a rainy morning to continue their journey into Cannes.

Today the boys ride from Calais to Reims - a whooping 313km which more than doubles yesterday’s distance but there’s not too many big hills on the way with about 2500m of climbing.

The boys are feeling sore but ambitious after completing today's first leg in the dark; each day the boys are required to complete 2 out of 6 legs. Guy's next leg, after lunch, is a big 72km - he is aiming to survive but is doing so well. Alex, the cycling machine, is taking it all in his stride and is aiming to ride all stages today but his legs will be reassessed at lunch time, and Mark is looking strong having completed legs 1 & 2 already.

Day 1 - The Grand Depart

This morning saw Guy, Alex and Mark join 190 fellow riders in London and set off on their journey to Cannes - 6 Days, 1 ride, 2 routes, 1500Km, 13000m climb with 72 hours in the saddle!

As the three approached the start line they wanted to say thank you so much for your kind sponsorship - with your help the guys have smashed their fundraising target and raised in excess of £10,500 for Coram.

Today the team will make their way out of London towards Brands Hatch before reaching Folkestone, where they will cross the Channel ready to start at 4:30am tomorrow morning for the second longest day at a little under 200 Miles.

We’ll keep you posted on how they’re getting on via daily Twitter and Instagram updates

Once again, a big thank you.
