GHA invited to design dolls' house for KIDS charity

Last week, Cathedral Group PLC announced the 20-strong squad of UK architects and designers selected to produce unique dolls' houses for the disabled children's charity, KIDS. We have been fortunate enough to be one of the firms invited and are extremely excited to display our creation amongst the likes of Zaha Hadid, Rogers, Stirk, Harbour + Partners and David Adjaye.

The project was inspired by Edwin Lutyens' 1924 dolls house for Queen Mary (shown above) which saw more than 1,500 artists, designers and craftspeople contribute to the 4.5-tonne display.

The miniature sculpture is to be made suitable for a 750mm x 750mm plinth and will include one unique feature to make life easier for a child with a disability. The houses are to go under the hammer on 11th November as Cathedral aim to raise £100,000 for the charity.
