London 2 Kent

We would like to say an ENORMOUS thank you to those who joined our 80 mile ‘London 2 Kent’ charity ride yesterday - it was a tough journey but the support was incredible and just what the boys needed in pushing forward with their ‘Ride to MIPIM’ training.

Many of you will be aware that Guy, Alex and Mark are fundraising for the children’s charity ‘Coram’ and in March they embark on a grueling journey that sees them cover 1,500 km over 6 days, taking them from London to Cannes.

Coram is a charity dedicated to continuing Thomas Coram’s legacy by giving practical and emotional help to one million vulnerable children, young people and their families every year. Coram develop new approaches to childcare and education, informed by developments in child psychiatry, which highlights the importance of children’s emotional well-being and need for secure family placement.

89% of the money Coram raise is spent on delivering their charitable purpose, making them one of the UK’s most cost efficient charities. Among many services Coram provide here are a few:

· Coram Adoption is the UK’s most-successful adoption service. They give children the chance of a safe, stable and permanent home with new loving parents.

· Coram Voice provides invaluable support to children in care so they have someone to turn to, fighting their corner, whenever they need help

· Coram Creative Therapy provides vulnerable and abused children with alternative ways to express their feelings, in a safe, nurturing space. Creative Therapy is a fantastic device which allows children to address their emotions and begin to heal.

We have been massively encouraged by the support and generosity of those of you who have very kindly donated to our cause, together so far we have raised £3k. However, we are still short of our £9K target (every penny raised goes to Coram) so if you would like to make a donation however small there is still time - please go to our Sports Giving page -

Thank you again for your support and encouragement in aid of such a worthwhile cause.
