Sydenham’s Timber Yard Goes to Public Consultation

This weekend saw our exciting scheme for the redevelopment of the Sydenham’s Timber Yard , in Poole, go to public consultation. With over 400 attendees from in and around Poole, the consultation event proved exceptionally popular with overwhelming positive feedback being received from locals, Councillors and local stakeholders alike.

The proposal for this invigorating regeneration project, which sits next to Poole Bridge and the second largest natural harbour in the world, boasts two waterfront landmark buildings, including 365 residential units, located around a new residential marina created off of the Backwater Channel; offering a wealth of public realm centered around a new creative hub of local start-up businesses.

Spread over two days, the event was held at the RNLI College, and attracted visitors from all corners of the town, who were all invited to view the proposals and give feedback. Responses were very encouraging, and the consultation has given the design team valuable points to take on board as we move towards a planning application.

For those who were unable to attend and would like to offer feedback, all of the presentation material and the forms to provide comment can be found on the following website
