Three Hills Sports Park Opened

We are pleased to announce the opening of the new Three Hills Sports Park in Folkestone, Kent. Opened by Minister for Sport Hugh Robertson last Friday, the £7m Centre of Excellence provides national standard facilities for hockey, cricket and netball. The new centre and will be the home of the Folkestone Cricket Club and Folkestone Optimists Hockey Club. Replacing the previous dilapidated pavilion and external sports pitches, the Sports Park's new facilities include national standard pitches for both hockey and cricket.

A multi-use all weather hockey pitch enables two tournaments to be played side by side, whilst the cricket table supports the Park's aspirations of bringing Kent County Cricket back to Folkestone.

Indoors, the centre boasts one of the largest indoor cricket facilities in Kent and can be transformed to allow hockey, netball and football to be experienced by a wide range of ages and abilities.

Central to the master plan is the highly flexible first floor function room. Orientated to allow panoramic views of the entire Sports Park, it can be hired out by non sporting social clubs and as a business venue. The diversity of people attracted to the centre will encourage local participation and help to promote sport across the county.
